Last Friday was International Day.First thing in the morning, we went to the upper playground tent wearing our traditional clothes. The flag bearers would step up to the microphone and say ‘hello’ in their language. After that there were a lot of performances. My favorite was the choir performance, because I heard many different languages in their singing. Then there was the exit parade as the countries went to their classes to do high school workshops. Our class had grade 10 teaching us how to make water filters. Last, there was the International Day Buffet! I never knew there were so many countries.Everything was just simply delicious! I think this International Day was the best.It truly is the highlight of the year!

From last week, our class started doing a game called ‘Loop Cards’.It is a game where the first person reads out their card, which, for example,’I have 9:30.Who has 12:05?’.And then the person who has the card 12:05 will go stand next to the first person and read whatever that says on their card, and on and on.We are measuring our time and our high score is 7 minutes and 42 seconds.
‘Loop Cards’ is a very fun game!!! |
