This week we've been learning all about shapes. We played some games which taught us the properties of 2D shapes. We practised visualising shapes in our minds, moving and overlapping them and then drawing what we could see. It was interesting because we visualised the same shapes but because we moved them around in different ways we all ended up with different types of irregular hexagons and triangles.
We sorted shapes into different categories such as irregular and regular, congruent and similar, polygons and non-polygons.
We learnt the difference between a square and a rhombus and we also learned that a diamond is NOT a 2D shape.
